Alexandria Rayford

Alexandria is an anchor for NewsChannel 20 and Fox Illinois Sunrise. She is excited to help get your day started dark and early with a smile. Prior to moving to Springfield, Alexandria worked as a multimedia journalist/fill-in anchor for our sister station KIMA-TV in Yakima, WA.

Alexandria was born in Dearborn, MI but grew up in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Spring Hill College in 2021 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, focusing on broadcast journalism.

While at school, Alexandria reported, produced, and anchored for the campus's news segment, 'Spring Hill Now'.

Additionally, she was a member of SHC's women's tennis team and a resident advisor.

Alexandria's previously interned at WDSU-TV in New Orleans, LA, and WKRG in Mobile, AL.

In her free time, Alexandria enjoys playing tennis, cooking new recipes, traveling to cities, going on walks, and hanging out with friends.

Alexandria looks forward to getting to know the Springfield community and sharing stories highlighting the people of Central Illinois.
