Southeast season ends in heartbreak to East St. Louis, 56-52

The Southeast Spartans came back with fire in the third quarter after trailing 24-19 at half. They took the lead and went back and forth with the Flyers. However, a steal by Jashawn Anderson and pass up to Travion Jones for a lay-up would seal the fate of this game as Southeast falls in Super-Sectional, 56-52.

They finished with a record of 30-3. Stepheon Sims led Southeast with 12 points followed by James Dent with 11 and Damon Davis with 10. They shot 40.5 percent from the floor, 36.4 percent from the three-point line. All three losses this season were by a total of seven points. They lose nine seniors heading into next season.
