Woman will serve 28 years for stabbing girlfriend to death
A Springfield woman will spend 28 years in prison for stabbing her girlfriend to death.
The Sangamon County State's Attorney said 26-year-old Emmaline Osborne plead guilty to first degree murder Friday.
She admitted to stabbing her girlfriend, 22-year-old Amanda Kern, 39 times when Kern tried to end the relationship two years ago.
Osborne must serve 100 percent of the sentence, she's already served over 800 days.
