LOAMI, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) -- The Sangamon County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman who was found dead in Loami Friday afternoon.
Deputies found 49-year-old Margie Cloyd deceased with a gunshot wound to her leg.
A 38-year-old man also reported having a gunshot wound to his leg.
Details surrounding the death are still under investigation.
The Sangamon County sheriff's office confirmed a death investigation at a home near Watret and Loami Roads Friday afternoon.
They said a woman is a dead and a man is recovering from an injury.
The cousin of the woman told Newschannel20/Fox Illinois that he found her dead, moments after her boyfriend did, on a couch inside a home at 9038 Watret Rd. around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Her cousin said it all started Thursday night. He said his cousin and her boyfriend were together. He said his cousin's boyfriend was shooting at a coyote.
In that attempt, the boyfriend was shot in the leg and his cousin was shot in the stomach. The details of that encounter and what happened after is unclear at this time.
The family member said around 2:30 Friday afternoon, the boyfriend found his girlfriend dead on the couch. The family member said he came to the house right after and saw his cousin had bled to death with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Right now, the Sheriff's office said a man is recovering and is expected to be okay. The family member said that person is the boyfriend.
Late Friday night, the Coroner's office said they will respond to the scene when they have permission to get into the home.
