Woman dies after Greenville shooting

Illinois State Police (ISP) are investigating a homicide that took place Thursday in Greenville, Illinois.

The body of a 37-year-old woman was found around 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East South Street after a reported shooting.

Moments before the homicide, ISP says a red Dodge Challenger which was believed to be involved in the shooting, fled the scene.

During a police pursuit, the vehicle left the roadway and overturned on Illinois Route 203 in Madison County.

A 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old man inside the vehicle were taken to a local hospital.

The 25-year-old driver later died from his injuries.

Police are still investigating the homicide.
