USPS suspends mail delivery on Thursday in central Illinois


    The U.S. Postal Service is temporarily suspending its regular delivery service throughout the Gateway District for Thursday, Jan.31 due to Winter Storm Jayden.

    Mail delivery will be suspended for the 618, 619, 625, 626, 623, 625 and 627 zip codes in Illinois and some 633, 634, 635 and 650 in Missouri will be affected.

    Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS for more information on available or alternate post office locations.

    Postal employees are urged to call the National Employee Emergency Hotline at 1-888-363-7462 to report information.
