Two found with cannabis after morning crash

Two people were transported to the Salem County Hospital after a car traveling on I-57 north left the roadway.

The car was traveling northbound around 5:40 a.m just two miles south of Salem.

The preliminary investigation shows the vehicle left the roadway and entered the median. The driver then tried to correct themselves by crossing back over but hit a guardrail then hit a bridge before coming to a stop.

The driver, Antario J. Miller, 20, of Cleveland, MS, was charged with improper lane usage, not wearing a seat belt, possession of cannabis under 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The passenger, Roshelle L. Forte, 20, of Greenville, MS, was charged with not wearing a seat belt and possession of cannabis under 10 grams.
