Toy Box exhibit allowed kids to have fun and learn
Kids could learn about art all while having fun Saturday
The Illinois State Museum hosted a winter family fun day for an afternoon of fun and games.
Families could tour the "toy box" exhibit which was inspired by toys and plays items.
The Assistant Curator of Education at the Illinois State Museum, Elizabeth Bazan, said kids could participate in search activities, do crafts, games, and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.
“It's a really great exhibit because it's based on toys and play,” said Bazan “and it's really accessible for kids so kids can enjoy looking at the art along with their parents.
Bazan added that it was also an opportunity to teach kids about the importance of art and how to care for it.
