String of thefts in Christian County
The Christian County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of thefts to farm equipment.
Between June to September there have been multiple PTO shafts stolen.
Two of the incidents were to equipment inside a shed.
Shafts were stolen from two John Deere's, a mower, and a grain cart.
The thieves also stole from a machine parked in a field.
"It makes it really hard in the farmer because now they have to take time off and this is their busy time and they don't want to stop for anything," said Sheriff Bruce Kettelcamp, with Christian County.
Authorities said they believe the stolen parts are being used for demolition derbies.
The incidents are still under investigation.
