Police respond to domestic incident at Sonic on Dirksen
According to the Sangamon County Sheriff's Department, Scribner was arrested for UUW, aggravated battery, domestic battery, unlawful restraint and aggravated assault.
Springfield police responded to a domestic incident at 11:48 a.m. at the Sonic restaurant on Dirksen Parkway Friday.
Police said Jaquan Scribner arrived at Sonic where his 21-year-old girlfriend is employed.
Scribner got into an argument with her. He then allegedly grabbed her by her hair and tried to force her into his car.
A group of people separated the woman from Scribner.
He allegedly pulled out a knife and threw it at the woman, cutting her on the leg.
The crowd got the woman inside the Sonic and kept Scribner outside.
Scribner was arrested by police upon arrival.
