PANA, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — Two youths have been arrested in connection with a weekend burglary.
The Pana Police Department says a 10-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy were taken into custody after a burglary at Shasteens.
An alarm at Shasteens was activated around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers arrived on the scene to find the front glass door smashed with a rock.
Two youths with their faces covered were seen on surveillance video from the scene.
Pana police are crediting the help of citizens in the neighborhood for helping them track down the two allegedly involved in the crime.
The 10-year-old and 13-year-old were taken into custody for criminal damage to property and burglary.
Both were processed and then released to a parent.
