Organizing for Action Springfield informs residents on healthcare and policy changes
The Organizing for Action Springfield group says it's important everyone stays informed about healthcare and policy changes.
Saturday, the OFA met with residents to show them how to connect with local and state elected officials.
They say this legislative August recess is a perfect time to learn.
The OFA leader says he wants to push healthcare issues to the forefront.
"People taking an interest in becoming an advocate in their communities, it strengthens our communities; it increases the process and makes the political process much more transparent," said chapter lead Scott Cross.
The governor is hosting a fundraiser this Tuesday outside the Illinois Realtors Association.
The OFA says they plan to gather and express their concerns straight to the political leader.
