SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — It's only offered once every two years - it's the Illinois Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic.
From Friday, July 20 to Saturday, July 21, anyone can get free dental care in Springfield.
The entire program is run 100 percent on volunteers.
Dentists, hygienists and dental assistants are volunteering their services free of charge, just because they care.
"Dentists really do care and they want to give back to the communities. They want to give back to citizens in the state of Illinois, but they also understand that there is an issue to an access to care for under-insured and the uninsured," Program Coordinator Sarah Jensen said.
The program will take place at the Bank of Springfield center.
The doors open at 6 a.m.
