As part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a unity march took place at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield Friday morning.

The march ended at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The protestors took to the streets to spread their message of overcoming and following Martin Luther King Jr.'s message.

"No matter how the weather is, it's a dream that still stays alive in my heart and it should stay alive in your heart as well. We shall overcome," Ms. Daisy, a protestor, said.

The protestors wanted to spread a message of respect and loving one another through the march.
