Local Sweet Corn Festival gives back to community
Around ten thousand people came out for the Chatham Jaycees 45th annual sweet corn festival.
This is the groups biggest fundraiser of the year.
All proceeds go towards the clubs service projects, including maintaining local parks and their big winter clothing drive.
"Some of the best stories we hear at Jaycees come from the school after that shopping trip and the pride the kids take in it, explained Dave Kimsey, the Village of Chatham president.
The festival had an array of activities.
This includes three on three soccer, a bags tournament, volleyball and throwing cow chips.
There were also an assortment of bands.
The festival ends at midnight on Saturday.
Crews will clean up the park Sunday morning.
