Local Groups Come Together For A Call 2 Action

Springfield's Call 2 Action group is backing up their rally message with a community involvement fair.

Saturday, more than 30 local organizations will gather at the Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield to talk, get involved and make a difference.

GLADD, Springfield’s Black Lives Matter chapter, The Outlet and several other organizations will be on hand.

Springfield's Call 2 Action held a rally at the state capitol back in January.

The group says even though rallies are a great way to spread a message, the community involvement fair will be a great way to back that up.

"In addition to rallying, you need to get out there and put some action behind those words," Sunshine Clemons, organizer for Springfield Call 2 Action, said. "This was out opportunity to help people get active within the community."

Again, the Community Involvment Fair will be held at Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield.

The event starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4.
