Legacy of Giving supports local art
The Legacy of Giving Festival kicked off Friday night in downtown Springfield.
The two-day festival boasts live music from 70 local, regional and national acts on five stages.
Along with the music, there's 50-plus vendors with arts and crafts, food trucks, and 5 and 10-k race.
Organizer, Bryan Tippy said it's a great way to support local art.
“We put together, you know 62 bands, 5 stages for only 5 bucks, thanks to our sponsors we're able to put together a great festival to start with and then thanks to the support of the community and the support of the local art, it works,” said Tippy.
It's not just fun for adults, there will be inflatables, face painting and others games aimed for kids.
The event runs Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to midnight. The entrance fee is $5, and it all goes to charity.
