Jersey Mike's donating 100% of proceeds Wednesday
One restaurant is teaming up with a local food bank to give back in a major way.
Jersey Mike’s on Wabash is working with the Central Illinois Foodbank.
On March 28 only, all the money made at the restaurant will go to help feed families around Springfield.
In the last five years they have raised more than $14,000.
"Jersey Mike's is going to donate 100 percent of the proceeds which is generally unheard of. So, our goal is to raise over $5,000 today," said food and agency resources director Kristy Gilmore.
At the store, you can also choose to donate food to the food bank.
With the money made, the Central Illinois Foodbank will be able to help feed people in need.
Jersey Mike’s will be open on March 28 until 9 p.m.
