Illinois family forced off Southwest flight
In Chicago, a family was kicked off a Southwest flight at the Midway International Airport on Wednesday.
Other passengers say a young child was nervous about riding on a plane and attendants were telling the parents to calm her down.
Witnesses say the child did relax, but the family was still forced off the plane.
"We were on the runway for about a minute or two, and the child has been sitting this whole time in her own seat, and that's when the captain came over the intercom and said, 'we're going to go back to the gate we have a customer service issue to address.'" witness Alexis Armstrong said. "We pulled back into the gate parked again. That's when security removed them."
Southwest says a report indicates a conversation escalated between the crew and a customer traveling with a small child.
The company is reaching out the family to get their side of the story.
