The Springfield Inner City Older Neighborhoods Coalition (ICON) presented their fourth annual Good Neighbor Awards.

The awards recognize those who embody the coalition's mission to improve the quality of life for Springfield residents in inner-city older neighborhoods.

This year’s winners include: City of Springfield Public Works Housing Inspectors, Habitat for Humanity, Ward 7 Alderman Joe Mcmenamin, and Linda Renehan for the Springfield Vintage Business Award.

"They're not in it to make money they're not in it for power they are in it to make a positive difference in Springfields neighborhoods so (ICON) relies on them to be our eyes and ears in the community," Carol Kneedler, Chair of Springfield ICON said.

The mission of ICON is to educate and innovate all those who are willing to protect the quality of life in their neighborhood.
