Fire officials: Dogs rescued, garage a total loss after fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — Springfield Fire Department was called to the 1200 block of North Paul Street Thursday afternoon for a detached two-car garage fire.

The detached garage is a total loss, but fire officials said no injuries were reported.

There was also a dog kennel attached to the garage but all dogs were safe and accounted for.
