Football players plead not guilty in hazing incident
The final Wheaton College football player facing felony hazing charges pleaded not guilty Monday.
James Cooksey and four other players are accused of stripping and beating a former freshman teammate back in March of 2016.
Authorities say the victim's arms were bound so tightly that he suffered shoulder injuries that required surgery.
The players have been charged with mob action, aggravated battery, and unlawful restraint.
The other four football players pleaded not guilty in October.
All are free on bond.
Their next court appearance is set for January 11.
