BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — The McLean County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a male subject who recently impersonated a police officer.
McLean County Sheriff's Police Department responded to the call July 7. The suspect allegedly used flashing lights to get the victim to pull over and then approached the victim's car.
The suspect allegedly attempted to subdue the victim, but was unsuccessful. The victim drove away from the scene and had no additional contact with the suspect.
The suspect's vehicle is described by police as a mid-size black four-door car with blue lights in the front and back windows.
The incident occurred on 700 North Road between 1900 East Road in rural Bloomington.
