Camp Care-a-Lot enters 25th year
This weekend is the 25th annual Camp Care-a-Lot.
The camp aims to provide an experience of a lifetime for children from low-income housing that may not be able to afford a camp experience.
Camp Director Teegan Lund knows first-hand how this camp supports children from low-income homes.
"As a child myself, I was a camper. So I returned as a volunteer since I was 16-years-old and I have continued to volunteer with Camp Care-a-Lot and I am the first person in my lineage to actually hold anything higher than a high school diploma," Lund said.
Campers get to learn about various career fields and it provides a scholarship for school.
