Bicentennial Rosé wine uncorked in central Illinois

Friday night Illinois was introduced to its Bicentennial Rosé wine.

The Rosé called Lovelocks was Illinois grown.

The Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance partnered with the Department of Agriculture and Bicentennial Commission to name the rosé.

The event was held at the Durenberger Family Vineyards.

The Wine Maker, Susan Danenberger, said she’s happy to help showcase all that Illinois has to offer.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the history and the legacy of the state now and to be part of something recognizing all the artisanship and craftsmanship that the state has to offer,” said Danenberger.

A portion of the wine sale goes to help a local non-profit organization.
