A fire broke out at the Christian County Farmer Supply Company plant in Stonington around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

The fire occurred in the attic of the shop area.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.

There was significant damage to the ceiling of the attic and the shop will be closed for repairs. However, the plant itself is still open.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Stonington Fire Protection District, Blue Mound Fire and the Christian County Sheriff's Office assisted with the fire.
