A simple note on the fridge could help save your life
Doctors at Prairie Heart Institute and paramedics are asking everyone to be prepared for a medical emergency by having a list on the fridge.
The list should include your name, date of birth, current medications, allergies, and any other medical information.
This helps the paramedics if anything were to happen to a patient. It’s important to know what kind of medication that patient is taking.
It is also a good idea to list an emergency contact so the paramedics know who to reach out to.
The Prairie Heart Institute of Illinois came up with a refrigerator magnet with a fill-out form of the necessary information.
Anyone can pick up a refrigerator magnet sleeve and inserts in the lobby of the Prairie Heart Institute or by calling 217-788-0706, Ext. 48376.
