$40 dispute lands two in hospital, police search for suspects

A dispute over money in a Springfield neighborhood lands two people in the hospital.

Springfield police are searching for two people accused of running over two men with their vehicle.

It all started in the 1600 block of East Reynolds Street around 11:30 Monday morning.

Springfield police say a fight broke out between three men over $40.

According to police, one man got into the vehicle his girlfriend was driving and that's when she drove onto a yard and hit the two men.

One of the victims is a 32-year-old man from Bloomington and the other is a 51-year-old man from Springfield.

Police say they're now recovering with non-life threatening injures.

Police are not releasing the names of the two suspects or a description of the vehicle at this time.
