TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) -- Three victims of Saturday’s EF-3 tornado are now back home.
Three other people are still in the hospital with one still in intensive care.
In all, 26 people were injured when the tornado ripped through Taylorville.
That storm damaged more than 500 homes and 32 were completely destroyed.
The Mayor of Taylorville, Bruce Barry, is overwhelmed by how much support the city has gotten so far.
“The communities around us are really stepping up and helping us out,” Mayor Barry said. “It’s going to be a long process, but I figure by the end of the weekend, we should start to see some massive improvements.”
There is still a 9 p.m. curfew for those areas that were affected by the tornado.
