NAPERVILLE, Ill. (CNN NEWSOURCE) -- A man, his girlfriend, and his mother are all accused of murdering a man and dumping his body in an abandoned Illinois warehouse.
In January of 2018, Michael Armendariz went missing from his home in Naperville, Illinois.
His body was discovered 6 months later in an abandoned house in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.
Saturday, a judge denied bond for all three suspects: Ernest Collins, 22, Cassandra Green, 21, and Candice Jones, 38.
Armendariz's mother says she knew it was 21-year-old Cassandra Green from week three. Green was allegedly a childhood friend of Armendariz.
"The facts alleged in this case indicate a complete utter disregard for human life and the rule of law," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said.
Prosecutors say the motive was an alleged robbery attempt.
Vehicle descriptions, social media posts, and DNA evidence led investigators to the suspects.
All three suspects are now charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping.
