2 million voters turned out for Illinois primary election

More than 2 million voters cast ballots for last month's primary election, according to numbers released by the Illinois Board of Elections on Friday.

That's less than 27 percent of registered voters in the state.

Of those two million votes, 35 percent were Republican and 64 percent Democrat.
