Lindsey Hess is an anchor and reporter at Newschannel 20. She's a graduate of Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois where she earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication & Rhetorical Studies and Elementary Education. An Illinois native, Lindsey was raised on a farm in Adams County. She began her television broadcasting career at WGEM, an NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois working as a reporter and anchor.
The Miss America Organization plays a significant role in Lindsey's life. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Miss Quincy Scholarship Program, a duly accredited preliminary pageant in the Miss Illinois and Miss America Organizations. In 2013, the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association recognized Lindsey as the Volunteer of the Year. Lindsey is a certified Miss America judge and judges pageants across the states of Illinois and Missouri.
After serving as a "Big Sister" through Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois for nearly a decade, Lindsey joined the organization as a board member in November 2015.
In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys retail therapy, traveling, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with her Chihuahua, Penelope.
