Child Protective Services investigating mom of boy who allegedly had sex with teacher
The mother of a 13-year-old boy, who allegedly approved of his relationship with a 24-year-old teacher, is under investigation. KTRK reports Child Protective Services is looking into what role she may have played in supporting the relationship.
Alexandria Vera, the Houston teacher who is accused of having sex with the boy, faces a felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Vera told police she had sex with the boy "on almost a daily basis at her home and that they love each other." She also claimed the parents knew of the relationship, and when she became pregnant "they were very supportive and excited about the baby."
Vera told investigators she got an abortion after CPS showed up at the school to discuss her relationship with the boy.
The 24-year-old posted a $100,000 bond, and school officials tell The Associated Press she was removed from her job.
