Two arrests made in pizza delivery robbery

Antwan Davis and Luther Kimes III, both 19 of Springfield, were arrested for robbing a pizza delivery driver last week. They’ve both been charged with aggravated battery and theft.

The incident happened at about 10:30 pm on November 9 in the 1800 block of South 16th. The men were arrested nearby a short time after the alleged robbery.

A fake weapon and pizza were recovered. The driver told police one of the men displayed a gun.

Police said they do not believe the incident is connected to the armed robbery of a pizza delivery person on November 4 that was featured as the Crime Stoppers crime of the week.

That robbery occurred in the 2000 block of East Adams at about 10 p.m.
