Study gives Illinois a C in election security
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WICS) —
A study by a national organization shows most state election systems are still vulnerable to hacking.
Illinois was one of 23 states to get a C rating by the Center for American Progress.
The organization studied how states protected their election systems under seven categories.
Including cybersecurity measures for voter databases, and conducting post-election audits.
No states were given an A in the study, and five states failed.
