A Springfield native has claimed her $4.75 million prize for her winning Illinois Lottery ticket.

Denise Bank-Wilson bought the winning ticket about two weeks ago but didn't check the ticket until seeing our story about the unclaimed prize.

She and her husband took the lump sum prize of $2.89 million.

The two have already spent some of the winnings on a vacation but say they will be keeping their jobs.

“You know if you want to stay a millionaire and want to stay having money and whatever it means,” Denise’s husband Calvin Wilson said. “You know because people say ‘what does it mean to be a millionaire?’ I don't know what that means and I know even less.”

The couple has also given some money to family members.

Wilson says she normally purchases three lotto tickets every year.
