Springfield Police are investigating a shooting and stabbing that both happened Friday night.

Police say around 6p.m. Friday, a fight at a gas station at 9th and Division led to a male and female being stabbed.

The man was stabbed in the upper back and his injuries were more serious that the females, but both are described as being non-life threatening.

Police are search for the male suspects who they believe knew the victims.

About 45 minutes after the call about the stabbing, police heard gunfire near the scene and rushed to see what was happening.

Just a block away at 9th and Enterprise, police found a vehicle that had been hit by a number of gunshots.

Two people had been hit by gunfire, one just grazed and one who went to the hospital and was found to have a bullet lodged in the front of his body, near the neck.

The victim was alert and conscious, and the injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.

Police believe the shots came from a white Chevy Impala and the shooting may be tied to another shooting earlier this week.
