Name of Student Found Severely Burned On U of I Campus Released
We have learned the name of the 21-year-old student found severely burned at the U of I’s Performing Arts Center.
The Champaign County Coroner says Westley Banks of Gurnee, Illinois was found after reportedly dousing himself with gasoline and lighting himself on fire.
The autopsy revealed burns to his airways and lungs from the flames.
The investigation will remain open, pending the result of toxicology tests.
