Making Sure All Illinois Kids Get A Breakfast
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) —
It's the most important meal of the day, and now two Illinois programs are working to ensure kids get breakfast every day of the year.
It's the School Breakfast After the Bell and the summer meals programs.
Thursday at the capitol, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti along with multiple other organizations were on hand to get people informed on how they can help.
Although the programs already have sponsors and funding set up, it's still looking for meal sites for kids to eat the meal.
