Keeping yourself warm during the cold snap
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) —
It's cold right now but it is going to get a lot colder this weekend so make sure you wear your winter gear, hats, gloves, anything to keep you warm.
Newschannel 20 spoke to a couple of people some who work out in the cold for multiple hours a day and some who are just out and about running errands.
While some are not used to the bitter cold here in Illinois, others are not bothered by it.
"I'm not really cold and I’ve been used to the 50-degree weather lately so the fact that it just went from 50 degrees to snowing is pretty crazy to me," Mason Hendricks, said.
"I work 4 or 5 hours a day and I stay warm by getting my thermals out my long sleeve shirts, my jackets, and my overalls," Quentin Browning, said.
Something else to keep in mind is ice, it can be dangerous to walk on and very slippery so be sure you walk carefully.
