Governor Bruce Rauner named a former Republican lawmaker as his deputy chief of staff for legislative affairs.

Darlene Senger served in the house of representatives from 2009 to 2015.

The Naperville native is a licensed financial and investment adviser.

Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady says he expects Senger to develop an easy rapport with legislators to advance the governor's agenda.
