Decatur police search for armed and dangerous murder suspect


At 9:24 PM on 12/25/17, DPD officers were detailed to an address in the 1600 block of N. 32nd reference a gunshot victim. Officers arrived to find a 39-year-old male Decatur resident who had been shot. The victim was transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he later expired.
Detectives were called in to process the scene for evidence as well as interview witnesses.
UPDATE: On 12/26/17, Decatur Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Floyd D. Banks, 1/23/81 for First Degree Murder reference this case. Banks remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
