CWLP warns customers of two active scams
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) —
CWLP is warning customers of two different active scams.
The company says there's California numbers texting Springfield customers, offering to send $100 vouchers for electric bills.
The second scam is from an 8-8-8 number.
The caller claims customers need to pay a new deposit on their account or their meter would be pulled.
CWLP wants to remind customers to never give out personal information over the phone, unless you're certain it's someone from CWLP.
