Bill Legalizing Spring Assisted Knives Advances to Governor's Desk
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) —
A law that would legalize and regulate spring assisted knives is heading to Gov. Bruce Rauner’s desk.
Supporters say law enforcement and the military can benefit from their use. For example, EMT's would be able to cut the seatbelt of a crash victim stuck in a car.
The bill passed the Senate unanimously but made it out of the House with only one vote to spare.
