Rep. Davis on Illinois' financial future
WASHINGTON, DC (WICS) —
In our connect to congress series,
NewsChannel 20 talked to Rep. Rodney Davis via satellite about the Illinois' financial condition and how the state has been downgraded by credit rating agencies.
We asked about whether he looked ahead to see if there were federal programs that could help.
"Keep in mind that a lot of the dollars that are spent on road projects in Illinois for construction projects, 80 percent of those funds come from the federal government, we've done our job to get those funds to the states and will continue to do that in a bipartisan way in Washington," said Rep. Davis, R-Taylorville.
