Life expectancy declines (WICS)

Life expectancy in the U.S. dropped for the second year in a row and it could be in for a third.

The National Center for Health Statistics says on average, in 2016 life expectancy was about 78 years.

But women have the upper hand.

Females can now expect to live a full five years longer than men, with about 81 years versus 76 years.
