IDPH Urging Illinoisans To Get A Flu Shot
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) —
Flu season is fast approaching and the Illinois Department of Public Health is urging people to get a flu shot.
The health department says there are concerns about how well the nasal spray vaccine works, so it's recommended that everyone six months and older get the shot.
While the flu shot vaccine's effectiveness was almost 60 percent last year, public health says the vaccine has been updated to better match viruses circulating this season.
