Hiked Premiums for Obamacare Plans
Insurers may have hiked premiums for Obamacare benchmark plans an average of 25 percent for 2017. However a new analysis is calling that a "one-time pricing correction."
The S&P global ratings analysis said insurers have started closing the large losses that prompted the hikes, and expects rate requests for 2018 will be "well below" this year's level.
The S&P said what happens in 2018 and beyond will depend on how and when president-elect Donald Trump replaces the health reform law.
