Going out to eat with food allergies
Millions of Americans have some sort of food allergies making restaurants a dangerous place to eat.
A study from the CDC found less than half of the restaurants in the study received staff training on food allergies.
Those that did receive training often didn't learn what to do if a customer has a reaction.
If you have food allergies make sure the restaurant you eat at will accommodate allergy requests and be sure to inform the staff before you order.
